In our last city in Europe, Paris, we finally arrived at the foot of the famous lady: Eiffel
From the top of Eiffel, looking at a mix of historical palace and the new civilization: Financial District
La Seine River and us.
Napoleon's Tomb, from the top of Eiffel.
Kristie and the French Military school where Napoleon attended.
climbing down the Eiffel, by feet
we are near the ground level! the yellow thing is the elevator to the top of Eiffel...
inside Eiffel, there are some interesting Sci-fi exhibition...
Me and the hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy
we have safely arrive at the ground level! and guess what? the weather has cleared up too~
entering the Eiffel isn't really expensive... that's why the line
"Sir, you will need to come with us!" uh-oh.
then, we hit the center of all sins... just kidding, we arrived at the biggest shopping mall: Lafayette
"Honey, I think I love Paris the most~"
Our Appetizer for the dinner: Seafood platter!
Yeah, I was a bit late to take picture on this duck liver, too delicious!
then we get right into French Snails!
Pinot with the duck is just fine for me, I don't desire more :-)
The place where our dinner was served...
Next morning: we get onto "La Seine River Cruise"
Notredame of Paris
From the side of the Nortredame
"hmmm. I think I am staying an extra week here... how can I persuade my honey?..."
Eiffel is now changing color... as the day draw darker...
3 familiar faces, Kristie, Eiffel, and... Statue of Liberty!
even the bridges are decorated with beautiful statues like this one.
Eiffel welcoming the night (lights all lid up!)
Next morning: arriving Palace La Versailles
The golden door welcomed us into Versailles
Everything is as shiney as it can be...
so is this dude...
The short but powerful: Louis XIV
all the ceiling in most of the rooms has a story with special meaning surrounding the stories of Louis XIV
the bed of the King
the thorne of King
and this is the view from the thorne
all the windows in the palace features beautiful garden scenary~
Guess who this dude is? (Napoleon!)
In the beautiful Versailles Garden... how many garden has a lake thru it?
good bye Versailles~
Arch of Triumph
to get to the Arch, take the underground tunnel you shall~
The eternal fire of soldiers (or something like that, forgot the real name)
down the street, we see the newer Arch
Lunch time! that Scandinavian breaded sandwich is amazing!
and we also ordered a ... semi-weird fruit cake that no forks seems to be able to penetrate easily...
The statue of St. Joan of Arc
The St. Enrique La "In front of a Car show"
We arrived at the famous Museum La Louvre... (I know I know, I am trying to learn the grammer of French too!)
The modern structure designed by an Asian constructor in this ancient palace
there are 3 small Pyramids around the main Pyramid, which is the entrance.
inside the Louvre, some special exhibition is being rolled out
argh...and apparently, somebody is suspecting the ancient statue actually talks.
underneath the main Pyramid, somebody bring me that Da Vinci Code!
This is actually done by a contemporary artist, but look at the veil of the lady, can you belive this is a sculpture made from one piece of stone?
another famous piece of art
we run into the real beauty today...
and time to shop for some... ancient bracelet~ nah, not gonna trade in...
I am not putting these on, don't want to ruin my hair
and we have found the Holy Grail! ... in the Da Vinci Code
Our last stop in Paris: The Moulin Rouge
A Spoiler: if you are not into two dozens of beautiful ladies dancing topless, and funny magic shows, and fancy costumes...etc, you may want to just watch the movie Moulin Rouge ;-)
