Alaska- Naknek River Camp
Forthe 2011 season we have teamed up with our old friend Jim Johnson and his Naknek River Camp to bring you "Alaska's Affordable Alternative". Mad River Outfitters will serve as a full booking agent for the lodge and can put together a trip for groups of 1-12 at anytime during the season. In addition, we will be hosting several weeks throughout the season. July 23rd- 30th will be hosted by Jerry Darkes and will offer anglers a shot at just about every fish on the menu with the exception of Silvers although anything is possible. The 2nd week will be September 17th- 24th and will be a special "Spey/Switch Week" with a school situation with our good friend and guide Jeff Liskay. Carpin'
Mad River Outfitters is proud to consider ourselves a full-service outfitter for Carp on the Fly! It all started with Jim Andrix and his Lil' Bugger and other carp flies....and his passion. Then came Dave Whitlock and the Carpin' DVD from 2002. The website features a "Carp Fly" category...one of the few that you will find online! Today the tradition continues with Captain Brian Meszaros on Lake St. Clair and our own Andy Jensen right here on Muzzy's and Alum Creek. Lake Erie Smallmouth
In the spring of the year, when the steelhead start to retreat from "Steelhead Alley"- the smallies move in! We are now booking and promoting river smallmouth trips along the shores of Lake Erie and our trips will be guided by our friends at Steelhead Alley Outfitters.
