Falvey's made us welcome at their garden, before we headed to Solander Bowls Club for lunch. The Horsfall's took us around their garden, before we finished the tour at Theo's Nursery, Kallangur.

Touring Tamborine
A wonderful sunny day touring the Tamborine Mountain area. We had a lovely morning tea at Cedar Creek, before journeying up the mountain. Our first visit was the Tamborine Mountain Botanical Gardens. Then off to the Tamborine Heritage Centre preceding our lunch at the Tamborine Sports & Bowls Club. Our final venue incorporated the magnificent Tamborine Gardens Wedding Resort.

Hervey Bay Whale Watch
Morning Tea at Gympie Duck Pond. Heritage tour of Maryborough before a picnic lunch at Queens Park Botanic Gardens. Hervey Bay Historical Museum, then to Kondari Resort for the evening. After breakfast, we boarded the MV Micat for a day of whale watching (with morning tea and lunch included). We returned to the Sunshine Coast in the afternoon.

Redcliffe Peninsula Tour
A coach tour around historic streets of Sandgate to Woody point. Morning tea was very short (since we were nearly frozen by the gale and driving rain). Continuing our tour to Redcliffe and Scarborough, before lunch at Dolphins Leagues Club. A pleasant and nostalgic time at Redcliffe Museum before a leisurely and relaxed journey home to Caloundra.

Mary Valley Rattler
We follow the Cobb & Co route to Gympie from the SunCoast, to have morning tea at the former gold mine (the Gympie Duck Ponds). Then off to The Mary Valley Rattler were the group travelled by train to Kandanga Station Markets and the Imbil Station for lunch. After a short time in Imbil, we travelled home via Kenilworth (visiting the Cheese Factory) and Maleny.

Petrie to Port
A day of exploration, history and technology. Travelling to Old Petrie Town for morning tea we discovered the history of Tom Petrie - famous explorer, friend to the aborigines, and pastoralist. We learnt more about the Pine Rivers area that Petrie founded while at the Museum. We then headed to the Port of Brisbane for Lunch at the Eco Café, before a fascinating tour of the Port itself.

An historical tour of the early colonial Brisbane. We enjoyed a wonderful morning tea at New Farm Park, where the second government farm was established, on the Brisbane River. We then noted all the colonial buildings around Brisbane CBD before an interesting tour of Old Parliament House. This was followed by a great lunch at the Southbank TAFE restaurant. On to Queensland Police Headquarters to check out the police museum, before a heritage tour of the Breakfast Creek and Hamilton regions.

Then a great lunch at the Gaythorne RSL, before returning home via the Old Northern Road (Cobb & Co coach route in the late 1800s) out of Brisbane.

The Noosa Heritage Trail
A great day travelling around the historic timber-getting areas of the Noosa region. We headed to Wappa Dam (for morning tea), before continuing to the Majestic Theatre at Pomona. Having enjoyed the silent movie, we journeyed to our lunch destination of the Apollonian Hotel. The historic Apollonian Hotel was constructed in the heyday of the 1870’s Gympie Gold Rush and in 1987 was moved to the picturesque village of Boreen Point on the shores of Lake Cootharaba. After lunch, we followed the coastline south most the way to Caloundra.
