The Original Bishop's Farmstand (circa 1920) with the First "Big Red Apple" that was made for a Parade float (by Walter Goodrich Bishop) for the New York - Bronx International Exposition of Science, Arts and Industries (1918). Note the shed in the background still exists and is opposite the current Farm Market at 1355 Boston Post Rd.
Bishop's ORIGINAL "Big Red Apple" was built for a parade in New York City for the Bronx International Exposition of Science, Arts and Industries (1918). It was incorporated as a part of this sign when the original part of the current farm market was built in 1928 and the farm stand in front of the barns on the opposite side of the road was put to other uses.
