Dutch Windmill in Lynden, WA
The windmill again, and the pretty hanging baskets--they had those on every lamppost!
Butchart Gardens--It's called a Monkey-Puzzle tree--wikipedia said so.

Still more pretty flowers at Butchart Garden.
You get the idea....
This sign says "Maxine Lane", but obviously the picture didn't turn out.
I took this from the ferry on our way from Victoria to the mainland. There were lots of these little islands and it was really pretty.
From the ferry again.
It looked a lot more beautiful in real life.
Still on the ferry
We saw quite a few boats on our ferry ride.
Wow, that's blurry.
More of the same.
Still on the ferry.
B.C. Place Stadium and Sports Hall of Fame in Vancouver.
An old Catholic(?) church in Vancouver
I think this is called the Marine Building, but I can't remember for sure.
The entrance of the Marine Building...if indeed that's what it's called.
A better picture of the entrance. The architecture on this building is pretty awesome.
This building is supposedly "earthquake proof". There's a reinforced concrete column in the middle, and the building hangs down from that...the first floor is quite a ways from the ground.
Another pic of the "earthquake proof" building
The only building in Vancouver (and possibly the world?) made out of pink glass. It must be fun to stare out at a pink world as you sit in your office all day...
It didn't out too well, but there's a statue of a woman looking in her purse for her glasses, which are actually on her head.
Stanley Park in Vancouver. It's a really big park with beaches and whatnot.
The view from the Lions Gate Bridge.
Going over the Lions Gate Bridge
A really huge dam. The lake that formed behind it provides water for the whole Vancouver area.
The view from standing on the dam.
Ditto.
Looking straight down from the dam.
The view from the Capilano Suspension Bridge. It's a swinging pedestrian bridge 230 feet above the floor of Capilano Canyon, and it's got a 450 foot span.
Looking down from the Capilano Suspension Bridge.
"Grandma Capilano" the biggest tree in the park.
Some of the forest surrounding Capilano
Looking down at the forest from the "Treetop Adventure" which was a bunch of little swinging bridges going from tree to tree.
