Banana leaves add a bit of flavor. In Honduras, banana leaves are used to wrap the tamales. In the states, tinfoil is usually used. Mary got the banana leaves from a neighbor.
Zoila, Mary's mom, was the head chef. Zoila is 74.

Dona Zoila has made lots of nacatamales over the years.
Nacatamale ingredients include red and white masa, chicken, rice, potatoes, peas, olives and garbanzo beans.
The tamales get wrapped up in tinfoil.
Then the tamales are steamed for about 2 hours.
