Building an aquaponics system at San Mateo Ecovillage
We began in January by clearing three garden beds. We had been building soil there for years, so did not want to lose it. It was dug out back to the original clay layer and put into buckets where it was sifted. Another large box bed was built and soil was put there, in other existing beds, in the greenhouse, and there is more. Then the system was laid out and on January 14, the major components were delivered and it was begun to be put in place. We are almost there now.
