The seconds hand was added as an after thought.
The pendulum hangs free and receives impulses from the attached block.
Note the yellow rubber band that turns the seconds hand. This was a fair work around to get the seconds hand to spin in the clockwise direction! I've removed it.
The escapement is a square recoil type. For would be clock builders, this is about the easiest escapement to build and operate. The pinions are of Koa and Holly that I laminated.
Still in the build phase. Note the C-clamp on the pendulum at the top of the clock (rear).
