Rick is about to get back on the bike!
This was Dawn's favorite section!
Rick tears by on the other side.
An awesome shot of Russel, if i do say so..he finished 3rd!
TRIPPY!!! Wendy was testing out the gravity in this portion, got up laughing - good example for the people she instructed earlier. ;)
Nice moustache..needs more chest hair tho.
Drew shows good form.
And the dash for the line between Rob and Tyler! These guys got off the front from the get-go, and dominated. Russel did a fantastic job moving up all race and eventually collecting 3rd.
hehe - the message couldn't be more clear. ;)
There's Roland, and a fellow who i duked it out with for a bit.
Oh yeah, the barriers are just a wee bit higher when running uphill.
Gnarly... I saw so many people doing this on the tops...insane.
A cool shot of Geoff Kabush, who won the race pretty handily.
Wendy moving downhill quickly.
..and he'd continue powering up the climb, pretty awesome.
Russel made it to....here. =)
Geoff approaches the run-up once more..
My artistic 'cross shot of the day.
A moment for a few artsy shot - my favorite: macro fungus.
Pretty big field!
And we're off! Roland actually had a pretty good race, when he stayed on the trail that is. =)
ha ha - you can see sandbagger Nick in the background (blue and pink) dealing with his technical..somehow he still finished ahead of me.
Oh yes, he passed me on the hill and i never saw him again..
The downhill portion was certainly fun. And of course, no straight lines..all momentum was lost in that turn-off..
The course was very scenic.
Errinne Willock may have found her new calling, she finished 2nd in her first race in the Open Women!
Here's the muddy section, it was quite reasonable.
There's that brief moment i was ahead of Roland..
I think that's it..
YAY!! This awesome box of sprouts, veggies and more from Eatmore Sprouts - thank you!! Extra cool to win this on World Vegan Day! Yum!
You gotta run before you can ride!
Here come the Master Men and Women's field. The sun burst through for the beginning!
Lotsa congestion on the first lap..
haha - dude on grandma's bike!
A shot of some of the lovely never-ending imported mud..
This was a memorable corner.
The mud was thick...like chocolate pudding...but people like chocolate pudding.
haha - what finger is Russel pointing there??
And the Women are off - i think this was a record large field for them too - woohoo!!
The Master's Men hit the Whirly Whirl.
heh - nice expression!
It was a bit of a ways to the top of the stairs.
Not the air from Roland's photo, but another good expression!
Oh yeah, the splash is totally in focus. ;)
Splish splash..cool reflection in the pond too.
Hey Katie!!
Outta da way Chris!!
Norm finishes as well, thanks for all your work in this series!!!
