Trip 1 ~ Bike ride with Michael to Steveston, Feb. 17, 2008. In the picture, Richmond from the Bike path one hour after departure. It was a beautiful day! {All the pictures but one by Michael Thessel}
A hydroplane about to take off. We crossed a bridge close to the airport on the way to Steveston, and the plane was flying so low that Michael almost lost his cap!!
The path, the sun.
Sign for the planes: "please don't land on those cute little houses -- keep going straight to the airport, that way."
Whatchyourlookingat, funny wingless people!
And finally, we reached Steveston and ate a ton of fish and chips looking at the boats. It was sunny, but chilly...
Michael is always shy when he's put in front of the camera.
More boats.
Steveston used to be a cannery town (they canned fish) and there are still remainings of that era. In the picture, the poles that used to hold a factory.
Heading back, the mountains were stunning.
Although most of the houses around Steveston were quite nice, these had a 'je ne sais quoi' that reminded me of Soviet times...
C'est moi :o)
Landscape from Richmond.
Our shadows, getting longer and longer.
Oh, home, sweet home!! (our neighbourhood on Main)
