On the road. View from the car between Hope and Manning Park.
That's Alex, the expert, on our first day of cross-country fun at Manning Park. It was cloudy that day, and not very cold (roughly -7C).
And that's the two of us that same day, looking hardcore!
This is the second day in my life doing this, and it doesn't come naturally...
Snow on a stick. There were a lot of these!!
Day two: crystals in the shuttle window (we had to take a bus to get to the tracks).
More on the same theme.
... and the shuttle left us there on our second day at the park ...
... at -15C, now, that is cold!! But with a hot chocolate, 5 sausages, 2 eggs, and a lot of french fries in the belly there's nothing impossible!
The day was beautiful, cold but sunny, and we got to see some beautiful landscapes (they never look as good in a picture...)
What does a washroom look like at -15C? Well, it looks like this! (and it doesn't have heating inside, no.)
What a glorious day!
Some explorers felt exhausted after some kms of non-stop exercise.
View from the land of the exhausted.
Lightening Lake.
