Arthur Martin Memorial Race

This annual IROW race (formerly the Isle of Shoals Race) starts at Fort Foster and winds it's way up Spruce Creek in Kittery, Maine. It is open to recreational sliding seat, Class I-IV Singles and Class I-III Doubles only. Choose from the 3.25 mile or 8 mile course. The Fort Foster gate opens at 9:00 a.m. and the race starts at 11:oo. Race kits and charts will be distributed at the gate. There is an additional $10 parking fee that will be collected at the gate.

Seal Row 4/30/11

In the first "Come Row Where IROW," eight friends rowed 6.9 miles out to Stratton Island(http://projectpuffin.org/StrattonIsland.html) to see the seals in their nesting habitat. It was a gorgeous day on the water and a specially way to start the rowing season. A great time was had by all!

IROW Nationals 08

IROW Nationals 2008 was held at the Craftsbury Sculling Center in beautiful Craftsbury, VT. An exceptional time was had by all! Breath taking foliage and scenic mountain views, delicious home cooking, perfect rowing conditions, and most importantly special people made this event outstanding! Maine Tour 08

Southwest Harbor, Acadia, Maine. Photos by Blake Doyle and Rick Jacques. We had a foggy start to our weekend, but managed a enchanting row up Somes Sound and saw a jumping dolphin, an osprey and the most gorgeous coastal scenery. Our row ended at the Claremont Hotel (http://www.theclaremonthotel.com/), an old Victorian hotel with a beach side restaurant and croquet courts, which led to a killer croquet match. The fog eventually lifted, just in time for a glorious sunset cruise back to the Claremont for the 'tradition' blueberry beverage. A fabulous time was had by all.
