Ice Caves
A journey to the ice caves on the west side of the Cascade Mountains, in Washington State. Start at the site of the (long gone) Big Four Hotel, and down the trail to the South Fork Stilliguamish River. The bridge across Ice Creek is out. Cross on a handy downed tree, then up the hill, through old growth timber to the base of Big Four Mountain (6,135 feet). The caves are dangerous due to falling ice.
