Fun Run Ibis Koh Samui Trophy October2, 2010 @ the International School of Samui-Suratthani-Thailand

Saturday, October 2nd 2010…6.30am, after a long teaching, studying and working week, 38 ISS parents, students and staff were up early to run the 5km Ibis Koh Samui Trophy Fun Run.
7am at Fisherman’s Village Beach Road was the start line. The rain of the previous night made the roads wet to say the least, not helping the runners to remain dry-footed!!
Half-way point was the entrance to Bang Rak, with the youngest runners being cheered on by their parents, whilst the others had already reached the finish line.
7.45 am, Prize-giving ceremony…5 ISSers on the podium including Ms Ladd, the Maths teacher who finished 1st in the over 40’s category whilst, Zhana, Luybava’s (Y4) mum finished 3rd.
In the under 13’s, two ISS students were rewarded; Luybava (Y4) in 2nd place and Jaya (Y6) in 3rd place.
New (Y10) reached 3rd place in the 13/18 category.
Congratulations to all our ISS students, especially the youngest, Arabella Y2, Flore Y6 , Phillip Y2, Stephanie Y6, Pat Y5.
