The same school where we poured cement for a new classroom floor is also the site of a "bio-latrine," basically a biogas digester that is fed with human waste. The digester will produce methane gas that can be used for cooking and lighting

During my first two weeks in Uganda I was able to see a biogas digester that had been built by ISU Engineers for a Sustainable World students for a farmer in rural Uganda.

SRL - Borehole Drilling
The Sukup Family/Sukup Manufacturing donated money for a borehole (well) to be drilled in Kamuli District as a part of ISU's Sustainable Rural Livelihoods program. We were able to witness the drilling during my first two weeks in the country.

Namasagali
Namasagali is located in Kamuli District and its primary school is the site of ISU's Service Learning Project. Several ISU students have worked here over the past 3 summers, and I was able to visit it with the rest of the ISU delegation in mid August.
