Greater Shelby Chamber Focus Alabaster Joe's Italian

The Focus Alabaster at Joe's Italian this morning brought a full house of Greater Shelby Chamber members and guests. Thank you to Sonia Bertolone and family for being the host with the most providing refreshments and a warm welcome as always. Mayor David Frings provided an update on the City of Alabaster and there are several projects in the works for positive economic development. Greater Shelby Chamber Annual Meeting 2011

Greater Shelby Chamber members and guests met the 2011 Board of Directors at its Annual Meeting today. Will Estell, author of Wisdom & Wisecracks for the Aspiring Business Owner, was the keynote speaker for the event. Three key principles that were shared by him: 1.) If you aren't happy doing what you are doing ... do something else!, 2.) Never stop dreaming, 3.) Believe in yourself ... even if no one else does. Thank you to the non-profit and community service organizations for participating as our Spotlight feature. Greater Shelby Chamber Business After at Hours Day Eye Center

Greater Shelby Chamber members and guests enjoyed a Mardi Gras themed Business After Hours at Day Eye Center in Pelham. Thank you to our excellent hosts Dr. Jim and Cindy Day, Wes Day, and Ginger Roe for providing an informative and festive evening including refreshments, networking, and fellowship. Dr. Jim Day, O. D. is a third generation Optometrist and has been practicing for 30 years. He is a frequent lecturer on Contact lenses and Orthokeratology and is past president of the International Orthokeratology Section of the National Eye Research Foundation.
