Day 1: everyone excited and getting ready

Day 2: on the way to manali
that was scary!!!

Day 3: manali to keylong

Fact: next gas station after 365 kms!!!! we infact had to carry extra fuel in cans.... :)

Day 4: keylong to sarchu
after a tiring ride on gravel!! plus the lack of oxygen was causing a major problem for us....

the gear springs had got cut... and i had great difficulties in shifting gears... :(

Day 5: sarchu to rumtse i dint take many pictures.. taking pics was very tiresome coz of lack of oxygen.... 2 kicks to start the bike would have us puffing....

Day 6: rumtse to leh
Day 8: leh to khardung la pass... this is the highest motorable road in the world!!! :)
that is siachen glacier in the horizon!!
for most of us it was the first time we were playing in snow!!!
playing in snow was fun... and it freezing cold with high cross winds!! :)
everyone had a sense of achievement..... everyone posed for pics!! :)
for a change... even i posed for pics!!
he was amazed that we rode to this place.... alive!!
Day 9: leh to pang
we crossed tanglang la... the second highest motorable road in the world....

riding in sand was very difficult......
pang was freezing cold!!!
those are the army barracks that we stayed in....
there was another group of riders...... one of their bike's chassis broke to two pieces....
Day 10: pang to keylong
most places had no roads!!
there a lot of small water crossings....
Day 11: keylong to sach pass
a bulldozer cleared off debris from a landslide..... after which we moved ahead...
a big big water crossing....
we returned to udaipur after this crossing.....
this was a deep water crossing....
we had to abandon the route to sach pass as there was a landslide on the way....
we ended up camping in udaipur....
the two bulls and ME!!! :)
Day 12: udaipur to manali the detour was because of landslides blocking the road....
Day 13: manali to dharamshala
Day 14: we rode from dharamshala to amritsar
at wagah border...
i have never felt more patriotic in life.....
all of us were very patriotic
beyond the two gates is pakistan!!!
the golden temple....
here... i realized the importance of freedom and the hardships of the freedom fighters.....
