IMG_0023 — This 1.5 mile long boardwalk allows hikers to get across the Pochuck Creek Floodplain after wet weather. Prior to this project, hikers had to go around the wetlands on busy roads.

IMG_0025 — This massive suspension bridge crosses the Pochuck Creek. It seems like overkill if you see the creek when it's not flooded, but supposedly the Pochuck spills out over the entire wetlands in times of excess rain.

IMG_0018 — Much of the trail in New Jersey follows low-lying wetlands. The trail clubs have laid out planks to walk on.

IMG_0020 — More planks - some of these were really slippery and others had floated off their moorings in the last rain, so they wobbled when we walked on them.
IMG_0022 — This part of the trail seems pretty accessible, even for wheelchairs and strollers. According to the local trail club 10% of the users are long distance hikers, and 90% are local community members.
