View on the way down from Tahoe
Someone had left all their broken down equipment on the side of the road (I assume on their land) as seems to be quite normal in farm communities. The difference with this is they had made art out or a lot of it.
The flowers are a nice touch
Old farm house, wasn't sure if anyone still lived there.
View from the Golden Hill Hotel and Saloon.
The old mine shaft at the View from the Golden Hill Hotel and Saloon. This is in front of the minors cabin room. This has had THE most ghost sightings of any room at the haunted hotel. I believe a lot of miners had dies down this shaft many years ago.
The back of the Hotel
Sunset at the Saloon
The moon rising at the Saloon (hard to see)
An amazing place to stop for a drink and stay for the night
Historical landmark.
Sue and Jeff Stevens, and Carrol the owner of the Hotel
Bill, the other owner of the Hotel and Saloon.
Dan. Dan and his wife worked for the U.N. for many years and were both pushing me to apply for the U.N. when I finally settle down, he gave me all of the avenues to look for work through them, even the places they use engineers. He had a lot of interesting stories to tell about his time in the U.N.
Inside the Saloon, that is money plastered all over the ceiling and walls.
The nighttime sky outside the saloon
My room in the hotel, one of the few that there have been no ghost sightings (and it stayed that way)
picture of the freaky little girl whose eyes followed me everywhere I went. Coulda been my imagination though.
4 locks. Maybe that's what keeps the ghosts out.
The beginning of the ride up to the Flume Trail
Marlette Lake
Beginning of Flume Trail. Fortunately, it's pretty much all downhill from here.
Lake Tahoe from Flume Trail.
Lake Tahoe though it is hard to see through the smoke coming in from the Yosemite fires.
