Algarve Historic Festival 2011
It is just three years since the Autodromo first hosted a race and, in that short time has already gained a reputation as one of the best circuits in Europe. Located in the hills above the resort of Portimao on Portugal's picturesque Algarve coast it is an exciting venue for competitors and spectators alike. The track is wide with challenging corners and dramatic rises and falls and is compared to the legendary Spa-Francorchamps and the Nordschleife – albeit with better weather! Spectator facilities are excellent. The new grandstands offer exceptional views, there's no shortage of parking and access is good.
Grids already announced for 2011, include FIA Historic Formula One Championship, Formula Junior, pre-66 Touring Cars, pre-61 and pre-66 F1 cars, the two-hour Stirling Moss Trophy feature race and pre-war Sports Cars, ensuring two full days of superb practice sessions and races. On race day we have included lunch in the circuit's panoramic restaurant.
