The day before the trip, we went to a soccer game - the semifinal between International - a brazilian club, and an egyptian club.
We tried to reduce luggage as much as possible, and each of us only brought one piece - but that was still plenty :-(

That day, we were all in my mother's house, eating "churrasco" and swimming in the pool in its backyard
Churrasco. Some people translate this as "barbecue", but it is so different from the english-speaking world notion of barbecue, that I'd rather leave it untranslated.
