Very pleasant start to the walk. Always seems to be busy here with a whole range of people doing it. From the slow 'n' steady, to those running it (multiple times in the same day)
After an uphill walk on a path, the Steps themselves start...
.. and on and up we go ...
... to the very top and the final step.
Bit further on is the summit of One Tree Hill. Maybe have been that way when named 100+ years ago. Not now.
Most of the walk is on (closed) vehicle tracks. They are still used for emergency access.
Near the top of Chandler Hill. You can see Melbourne in the distance.

Most of the walk is in dry forest, but this section - near the end - clearly gets more rain
