On Sunday, October 10, approximately thirty people gathered to work, play and feast at Desert Marigold’s 10:10:10 Community Day.
Thank you to Dorothy Turner for organizing our local food potluck. Everything was so good we have decided to do it again!
At 10:10 a.m. the DMS gong sounded ten times and we headed into the neighborhood to pick up trash (dark bags) and recyclables (light bags).
Our bike rack is now prominently placed near the school entrance. We hope to need to install another one soon!
Community day volunteers helped prepare garden beds for the fall planting season.
Participants enjoyed many local dishes, including pumpkin muffins baked on the spot in a solar oven.
Prickly pear lemonade anyone? Or would you prefer basil melon tea?
