Tearing down the old carpet. Notice the concrete underneath... we are on the second floor.
Boards half way down... for the first time. This stuff is called Tigerwood and it's an "engineered" wood floor. Meaning the wood is real on the top and then pressed onto a formed wood. Each piece snaps into the other, kind of like Legos.
The red stuff will be hidden by the baseboards. It's supposed to insulate the noise from the downstairs neighbors.
Lots of color variation with tigerwood, which is what I liked. It Will it be played out like pea green linoleum in a few years?
