Rabbit Hill Tramp
Our second tramp with Christchurch Tramping club (CTC),
It was a lovely sunny day, one of the best I have experienced since I landed in christchurch.
The first half hour was gruelling climb after which it was lovely dry landscape with snow tipped mountains in the backdrop. We also caught sights of blue lake below from the hill top ( We spent some nice time at the same lakeside at the end of the trip ).
After a point there were no marked trails and bit of dry swamps.
The untrailed walk was fun with everyone making their own way. The last few miles was steep incline with bunch of spaniards waiting to poke any tramper in sight.
It was about 2pm when we hit the plains, The team lead ( Tomas ) and Antony put on their running shoes and took of for a 7km long run, by road to get the cars back from the starting point.
Lovely trip and with its completion ,gets us to qualify for CTC membership. No looking back from here....
