A morning walk down Pinch in, it was a cold start
Looking down the ridge, the trees at the end of the ridge are the goal
From the trees looking back up at Falcon rock, about 200 yards of brush, mostly devil's walking stick
Looking south from the ridge, I believe maybe an easier way down can be found
Still high, but far east on Pinch In ridge, the braush to the north side is much thicker
open on the bluff -relatively, with trees. Limited hammock ops though
Plenty of firewood too, no water
Looking back up toward Falcon rock - see the trees? Oaks around, saw acorns, and lots of deer tracks.
Looking North through the trees
Looking South through the trees
A closeup (sort of) of Shortoff
See the river? Its there from the LGT
I don't remember seeing this before, its on LGT south of Pinch In
Hemlock across lower Pinch In, the actual trail goes left of the leaning but standing tree, and then to the right by the next trunk. Now it goes around the stump.
Looking down the steep part of Pinch In, my what a long shadow I cast
Linville river to the south from Pinch In.
Shortoff from Pinch In
Linville river below chimney gap, to the North from Pinch In
