Nepal Orphanage
Pictures from our visit to an orphanage in Kathmandu which is supported by the family of the local guy who organized our trek. It's a shoestring operation. Each kid costs $243 to support (food, supplies, clothing) for a YEAR. If you'd like to help, let me know. Our trek team contributed over $4,000. The gas had been shut off when we got there; they were cooking over a wood fire.
We did free medical and eye exams for all the kid. The good news: they are all relatively healthy and have good eyesight (not one needed glasses), and they are happy.
