Gold dredge
Standing on the front of the dredge
Large buckets were attached to the metal arm and scooped the earth into the dredge
Below Mike is the tumbler that seperated the dirt from the stones
the waste came out the end of the tumbler and sent on a conveyer belt to the back of the dredge
Me inside the tumbler
Mike in the tumbler
Mike climbing up to the perch
Looking at the back of the dredge. You can clearly see how destructive these machines were to the earth. Years later, trees and bushes are just beginning to take over the land again.
