Good thing no one changed this to say "Haiku Can Be Deadly."
Connie Hutchison leads the haiku troupe past the lookout point, with Christopher Herold, Ida Freilinger, and Susan K. Miller behind. That’s the Point Wilson lighthouse in the distance.
Inside one of the abandoned rooms in the bunkers at Fort Worden. The room was pitch-black until the camera flash illuminated it. Can’t you see a haiku overlaid on this photo? Write one!
I'm going to try making some photo-haiga out of this and some of the following photos.
After our walk at Fort Worden State Park, and lunch, we gathered at the home Doris Thurston. Here, Christopher Herold is leading a discussion on a haiku.
We were very comfortable at Doris's home!
Alice Frampton is in the foreground.

Bryson Nitta, Carmi Soifer, Curtis Manley, Marilyn Sandall, and Carol O'Dell.
Connie Hutchison, Ida Freilinger, Dianne Garcia, Susan Miller, and Tanya McDonald.
We had snacks on the counter at the back. The importance of snacks is not to be underestimated!
After our meeting at Doris Thurston’s home, we migrated to Hudson Point Cafe in Port Townsend for an excellent meal and much laughter.
Good food and good conversation!
Thanks to everyone who led and participated in this meeting to make it a very memorable day!
Christopher Herold and his dessert. (He shared.)
Now that's a dessert! It didn't last long.
