Governor Lunch February 19, 2009
The Brainerd Lakes Chamber, Lakes Vybe Committee, hosted a lunch for members with the Governor on Thursday, February 19 from 11:30 a.m. -1 p.m. at The Lodge. Governor Pawlenty’s remarks not only focused on balancing the budget, but strategically positioning Minnesota to prosper in a new economy. He shared his priorities, including his proposal for a Minnesota Jobs Recovery Act which includes cutting the business tax rate in half over 6 years, converting the capital equipment sales tax refund to an upfront exemption and a number of other initiatives.
