1 True Fit Folio.....12 pieces coordinating B&T paper, 3-15/16" x 6" ...... 5 pieces coordinating B&T papers, 3-15/16" x 6" ...... 1 piece B&T paper for tab, 1" x 4" ..... 5 pieces cardstock, 3-1/4" x 6" ...... 24" ribbon .... assorted ribbons, cardstock, etc. for decorating finished book.
Score the folio in half. Press very lightly with your scoring blade to avoid cutting the paper. Folio is very thick, so the scoring blade will not score both sides of the folded folio. Flip the folio over, still keeping the folded bottom side at the bottom of the cutter and score again, as shown above.
Carefully follow the diagram above to begin making your accordian fold scores.
This is your second score mark for the accordian folds. After making these two marks (at 4" and 8"), you will need to again flip the folio over to score on the back side, keeping the folded side the same as in these two photos.
Plan your paper layout. Dark and light colors should alternate for more interest. The tabbed top will be the inside front cover, the shorter piece below the tabbed piece will be your outside front cover.
Begin by gluing down your tabbed piece and your front cover piece (refer to the previous photo). These pieces are not as wide as your cut paper, so on these pieces you will apply your glue stick or bonding memories glue to the folio itself. Make sure you get edge-to-edge adhesion.
Choosing a light colored pattern for this small tabbed piece will allow you to add a phrase to this tab. See finished book as example.
If you do not have an oval coluzzle, you may use a round coluzzle. Any brand of circle cutter will work. A large punch will also work, although your cut-out might be substantially smaller.
You can also stitch your book together with a sewing machine, instead of the liquid glass adhesive.
