"Not struggling so far, but I haven't post processed all my pictures yet. Digital is different all right, but in the sense that it is much much easier."
Kai Compagner
"Are you struggling with that a lot? Just wondering... I imagine it must be very different.

The D800 is more sensitive to overexposure than the D700 was, in my opinion. The D800 often shows no "blinkies" in the preview (and histograms are fine, using UniWB), but in the raw file they're actually gone..."

"Highlights blow out with digital. Film goes over the edge much more gracefully. Nothing new here. In this case it may actually be a result of quick and dirty editing, the camera told me nothing was blown out."
Kai Compagner
"I'm curious now. How do highlights work/compare to the film in your opinion?"
Alexander S. Kunz

"Quick introductions:

Ken got me into bike and wheel building long ago. He's been into photography for an long as I've known him, shooting with all sorts of equipment. I have a couple of his black and white prints on my wall.

I worked with Kai about 8 years ago when I first started contracting at Google. He's seriously into landscape photography, shooting with a pair of Fuji 690s and scanning for a hybrid process."
