This is Aubrey. She is an Our New Baby doll. She is one of the earliest versions. No # on her neck, and long, flat neck strings. She is shown with her "My Baby Dolls Memory Book" hang tag, and the Our New Baby book.
She is a cutie!
Gorgeous coloring!
I think she wants to play! LOL!
Here you can see her "palms up" and wide open arm span, which are characteristics to look for when seeking out an Our New Baby. There are, however, some Our New Babys without this wide open arm span and palms up appearance. If you see a doll with the "palms down" appearance, you must check the neck stamp to determine if she's an Our New Baby or not. If you see a #14 on her neck, and she has the palms down appearance, she is most likely an early Bitty Baby. If you see a #14 on her neck and she has the "palms up appearance", she is an ONB. If you see no # on her neck, she is an Our New Baby, regardless of arm positioning.***PLEASE SEE THE END OF THE ALBUM FOR A DOLL THAT IS AN EXCEPTION TO THIS GENERAL RULE***
Also, look for eyelashes like these: Long, soft, and almost white on the caucasian doll.
She looks like a real baby!
Another ONB characteristic is the deep grooved, dark blonde hair shown here.
Another shot of the grooves and darker hair.
I am just so smitten by her!
This is Zane, and he is my Asian Our New Baby.
He has such a boyish look to him!
I just want to give him a hug!
Gorgeous little face and coloring! Look at those pink lips!
He also has the "palms up" and wide arm span, to ensure that he is indeed an ONB.
He has long, soft eyelashes
Here is what his hair looks like from the side view. His neck is stamped "750/14" under the Pleasant Co stamp, and his neck strings are not totally flat and ribbon like.
Here is a picture of the meet tshirt and diaper that were included on Our New Baby's, as well as the sleeper in the previous pictures. The three pieces are typically tagged "Made in West Germany for Pleasant Company, 1990"
This is Phoenix, and she is my first AA Our New Baby.
She has the cutest little face with pale pink lips, and soft, long eyelashes.
She looks alot darker with the flash, but her color in the previous pic is more true to life.
Phoenix has the "palms up" apperance and wide open arm span that Our New Baby's are known for.
Her neck strings are regular, and her neck is stamped Pleasant Co with no # underneath.
He vinyl is just amazing....look at that face!
What a cutie!
Here is a side view of her molded hair. It is supposed to appear textured. It is very deeply grooved.
Back view of her head. As you can see, her hair has minimal damage, which is fabulous!
This particular doll has her original box, outfit, Memory Book Hang Tag, and paperwork. A true find! She is my 2nd AA ONB doll.
She was mint and still tied in her box when I got her. Her box is dated October 30th, 1990.
Side view
I love them in this condition, lol!
Second AA ONB doll, laying down so you can see her arm position.
She is a cutie as well!
Neck stamp and the look of the textured hair in the back. "Pleasant Company" is in large letters, and there is no # underneath.
Such a cutie!
Poor thing has bubble eye in each eye. This is very common for the German made dolls from the early 90s. This particular doll is from 1990.
She is still gorgeous, nonetheless!
AA ONB #2 compared to ONB #1 (Sorry, she is actually wearing a Bitty dress) Notice the hand position variation between the two. (Yes, I am sure the one on the right is an ONB rather than a Bitty)
Such cuties!
Here is an Our New Baby original box, box band, and info card. The print on the box matches the print on the meet sleeper.
Close up of the gorgeous box band.
The items in the New Baby collection had all #s for their catalog codes. Here is an example of a catalog code on the end of the box, for the caucasian ONB.

Here is the "My Baby Doll's Memory Book" and hang tag for the Caucasian ONB.
On the inside, you can fill out information about your baby.
I LOVE THIS PAGE!! LOL!
More information to fill out.
On the back, it tells you how to care for your doll, and states the dolls are made in West Germany exclusively for The New Baby Collection. I am assuming that one of these were made for the Asian and African American ONBs as well, although I havent seen them yet.**UPDATE: I found a Baby Doll's Memory Book for the African American New Baby doll and the Asian New Baby Doll**

The original Lullaby Basket, with bumper pads. This version was made for the ONB collection. It is complete with a mattress, pillow and blanket. The pink heart played music once upon a time.
There are pockets for your baby supplies in the bumper pads.

This is the most adorable, in my opinion. Aubrey wears the Dolls Knit set over her Party Dress. The set includes a hand knit sweater, hat and booties. Tagged 1989 PC.
This just melts my heart!
Time for a nap! LOL!
I love her!
The little knit booties that came with the set. Adorable!

Adorable sweatshirt!
I waited a long time for this. A special thank you to a great friend who alerted me to it on ebay!

Sitting down with the comfy sweatshirt on!
Aubrey snuggles with Bit O Bunny in this picture.
Bit O Bunny with pink and white checked ribbon.
ADORABLE!!
The Bit O Bunny's are NOT tagged Pleasant Co. This is how they are tagged. They were manufactured by North American Bear Co. This was back when Pleasant Co would pay different companies to produce items for them.
Here is the very rare child sized Bit O Bunny (missing ribbon)

Little Bunny in original box with information card.
Here is a tan ONB diaper, tagged "Made in West Germany for Pleasant Co, 1990". I am not sure how often these come up.
I found this perfect little diaper on my first edition African American Our New Baby that was never removed from the box. This diaper is very thick and raspy feeling compared to the other diapers I have felt. Maybe because it is new, I dont know......
It is tagged 1990 Pleasant Co West Germany. The interesting thing is that the tag is underneath the velcro rather than on the side or back of the inner diaper.
Here are two meet tshirts. Interestingly enough, one buttons to the right, while the other buttons to the left.

The red on the stroller and the trim on the stroller matches her dress! The red cloth on the stroller is denim.
Aubrey is ready for a cozy stroll! LOL!
Side view. There is a bar on the back to hang the diaper bag, as shown.
Back view. The stroller seat lays back if your baby wants to sleep. You can open or close the canopy depending on the weather, AND the stroller folds up flat for easy storage!
Here is what to look for when looking for the ONB stroller. Pleasant Company logo on the front bottom panel.
RARE Our New Baby Changing Table in original box. Isnt the box to die for?
Close up of the detailing on the box.
Changing pad, hardware, and paperwork for the Changing Table. I am missing the mobile. If you have one for sale, please comment below so I can contact you. **Update: Believe it or not, I found someone selling JUST the mobile!!** I have not put the Changing Table together yet, but when I do, I will be sure to post more pics!

Here my 5 year old son models the Party Suit for real boys. Its a bit small on him. Its a 3T, but I was bound and determined to at least get a pic of it for all of you. LOL.

Here is the cover of the 1991 version of the catalog insert.
The following pictures were taken from a 1993 Pleasant Co catalog. More doll items were in the collection at this point, and most of the real life sized items were discontinued, making them very limited!!
Notice how everything on the page was a mere 10.00. UGH!
On this page, it states that if you buy the Collection with boys clothing, you would save 25.00. The collection cost 275.00 normally.
Larger items for the ONB collection
The cover of the Caucasian Our New Baby book
This book is soooooooo enchanting and totally sold me on the whole collection!
Each page does something special. This page has pull tabs that make the bottle go up and down and the hand pat the baby's back.
On this page, the baby's feet kick, and fake powder comes out of the powder container!
On this page, the tshirt unsnaps, and the zipper comes up and down.
On this page, the baby plays peek a boo and the Bit O Bunny squeaks.
On this page, the bonnet goes on and off, and the bow can be tied or untied.
And finally, the blanket goes on or off of the baby, and the pink heart plays music.
Back cover!
Here is the book in an Asian version. The pages are as follows:
Here is the Asian version of the Our New Baby Memory Book for a real baby! A true find!
The pages are adorable and mimic the Our New Baby story books.
This one has never even been filled out!

Now we will move on to some ONB comparison pics. In this pic, you will see an early ONB on the right, and a later ONB on the left. The ONB on the right has no # on her neck. The ONB on the left has the #14 on her neck. Both have long, flat neck strings.
You can see that the later ONB on the left has a wider space between her eyes, and more subtle coloring.
Here they are laying down. Notice how both have the "palms up" look and wide arm span.
ONB with #14 on the left. ONB with no # on the right.
Here you can see the head grooves. ONB with #14 on the left has more shallow head grooves. ONB with no # on the right has deeper head grooves.
Here are 3 blonde ONBs. ONB on the far left is the one with the 14 on her neck. The other two are early ONBs with no #. The ONB on the right has regular neck strings. The two ONBs on the left have long, flat neck strings.
Here is an ONB with no # next to an early BB with the #14 on her neck. Notice the arm difference between the two.
All four ONBs pose at once. Thank you for looking. I hope that by now you are feeling the Our New Baby Love. ;) More pics will come as I add to my collection!
Here is an example of an Our New Baby doll that I found that has a WHITE body rather than tan. She has the #14 on the back of her neck, and regular (not flat) neck strings. When you lay her flat, she has the "palms up" appearance.
Here is another picture of the ONB that is in the previous picture. Here you can see her wide open arm span and "palms up" appearance. She has the #14 on her neck, and her hair isnt extremely grooved like some ONB's.
Here is an awesome ONB lot that I got on Craigslist for a mere 30.00!
Everything was very white, clean, and minty!
What a steal at 30.00!!
There is something that puzzles me with this doll. Her neckstamp and positioning of her arms dont line up with what I know about Our New Baby dolls. She has the #14 on her neck, and her palms are down, BUT she is obviously an Our New Baby. You can tell that by looking at her eyelashes, vinyl, and hair grooves. Not to mention the fact that she is in her original 3 piece ONB meet outfit and original Our New Baby box. This perplexes me. I am starting to think that there is really no shurfire way to tell an Our New Baby from a Bitty Baby....in this case, the arms dont tell me, but her overall look does tell me.
Gorgeous long, soft, white eyelashes.
Even her clothing is minty and white!
Yep, she is definitely an ONB, no matter what her arms say!! HAHA!
Love her!
I cant believe her collar isnt even yellowed!!
I am just in awe over her!
I found this odd tag on her neck strings. I have owned many Pleasant Co dolls, and none of them have this on the strings. Awesome!
Another ONB that I have had the pleasure of purchasing.
Original hang tag with no writing inside. :)
My most recent ONB doll purchase. This beautiful baby is new in box, with hang tag, info card, and inspection card.
This inspection card is signed by Marianne Gotz, and dated August 30, 1990. I have heard in the past that some early Pleasant Co dolls were made in the Gotz factory. Could this be proof that the earliest Our New Baby dolls were made in the Gotz factory as well? This card is dated August 30th, 1990, and the New Baby line debuted in the fall of 1990, so the time frame lines up. Also, the hang tags of the New Baby dolls state that they were made in W. Germany, and the Gotz factory was located in W. Germany. What does everyone think? Were these dolls actually controlled by Marianne Gotz in the Gotz factory, or does this card actually go to a Gotz doll and got into the New Baby box by accident by the previous owner?
Inspection card, info card, and box band. :)
Memory Book Hang Tag, unused.
Such a beautiful baby!

Large lot of ONB items that I purchased. All of the items were in the original boxes with information cards and correct bands. I have pictured them all throughout this album where they belong.
Back in the 90s when you purchased the New Baby items, you had the option of getting them gift wrapped at an additional cost. These ribbons were the gorgeous ribbons that were part of that professional gift wrapping through Pleasant Company. Awesome that I have them after all these years, huh?
Single ribbon from the Pleasant Company gift wrapping.
