This railway station was bought from Gnowangerup after being pulled apart piece by pieced then reconstructed. We called in here after the drive through the Stirling Ranges
The Lily is an authentic Dutch Windmill constructed by Hennie and Pleun Hitzert. It turned her sails for the first time in 1997 after 10 years of building. It is a working mill producing Spelt flour which makes superb bread. We lunched in the Railway House.

Albany is full of gorgeous old homes, so many of them crying out to be renovated.
Isnt this just beautiful, saw a field of them while driving through the Torndirrup national Park south of Albany.
This is Salmon Holes, same park, named so for the Salmon that used to come here looking for calm waters close to the beach
Banksias were plentiful in this park also, so many different shapes and sizes but yellow the predominant colour
This is me the new beacon, standing where there used to be one perched high upon the rock

I walked down these steps over 900 metres to the bottom to see the blow holes that werent blowing, we were very disappointed, my first big walk after my operation
This is called the Arch and looks very like London Bridge on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. It was very windy and you have to be very careful
We couldnt believe the houses that were built around and on top of the huge granite rocks, this one was unbelievable
