Also hiess es, Schuhe ausziehen und durchs eiskalte Wasser waten / The water level of the lake was so high, that the wharf was flooded. So we had to take off our shoes and walk through the ice cold water.

Picnic por el camino, con vista a una de las muchas cascadas del dia / Picknick unterwegs mit Blick auf einen der vielen Wasserfaelle / Picnic on the way with view on one of the many waterfalls.
Al fondo, en medio de las montañas, se puede ver el paso Mackinnon, que cruzariamos al dia siguiente / Am Ende des Tals sieht man den Mackinnon Pass, den wir am naechsten Tag ueberquerten / At the end of the valley you see the Mackinnon Pass, that we crossed the next day.
En primer plano, el borde amarillo del poste indica el camino a seguir cuando el terreno esta inundado. Menos mal no tuvimos inundaciones! / Die gelben Pfaehle zeigen den Weg an, falls dieser ueberschwemmt ist. Zum Glueck hatten wir keine solchen Ueberschwemmungen auf unserer Wanderung / The yellow poles indicate the way, if the path is flooded. Fortunately, we didn’t have any such floodings during the walk.
El plastico amarillo es una bolsa, llamada „packliner“, que se pone dentro del morral para envolver su contenido y evitar que se moje al atravesar un area inundada / Der gelbe Sack heisst “packliner” und ist eine praktische Erfindung, die sie fuer die Wanderung verkaufen, damit die Sachen im Rucksack bei der Durchquerung einer Ueberschwemmung nicht nass werden / The yellow plastic bag is called „packliner“ and is a practical invention, that is sold in Te Anau to avoid that the content of our backpack gets wet if we have to cross a flooded area.

Y como perfecto final, poco antes de desembarcar, algunos delfines nos acompañaron / Wir waren total gluecklich als zum kroenenden Abschluss uns noch Delphine begleiteten / We were totally happy when as a perfect end of the trip some dolphins accompanied us.
En la carretera de regreso a Te Anau tambien vimos numerosas cascadas y en general un paisaje impresionante! / Von der Strasse nach Te Anau aus sahen wir auch unzaehlige Wasserfaelle / On the way to Te Anau we also saw numerous waterfalls.
