Interaction with Dr. Robert Nemiroff, coordinator APOD at G.D Goenka, Feb14, 2012
SPACE organized an interactive talk with distinguished astronomer Dr. Robert Nemiroff, coordinator of APOD (Astronomy Picture of the Day) at CSE, Centre for Student Excellence, G.D Goenka School, Rohini. Participants included students and teachers from G.D Goenka and other neighbouring schools. Astrophysicist Dr. Robert Nemiroff presented an interactive session on “Vistas of Astronomy” and “Astronomy Picture of the Day”. Mr. Tim Neely, Chief, Environment, Science & Technology Officer of U.S Embassy and Mr. Lalit Mohan Pande, Education Officer from North Zone also joined as Guests of Honour for the event. Principal of the school Ms. Ritu Pathak also attended and felicitated Dr. Nemiroff.
