I laid out about 11' of 6X #18 wire for the wings. 4 for the tip lights and 2 for the landing/taxi light.
To make the fishing easy, I soldered the 6 wires onto a single #14 wire. I then pushed the #14 through, and pulled the #18 behing it.
This method was SO easy. I should have used it on the other wing!
At the LTR light station, I cut a hole in the poly tube and pulled out the 2 wires
All six wires and AOA tubing. I will put a Molex-style connector on the wires, and a barb-fitting union on the tubing.
All tubing and wiring in place.
I used a piece of fake skin with holes at 10" to set the spacing as I worked on the LTR light bracket.
Cleaning up the inside of the leading edge skin with a scotchbrite wheel.
An early concept of a bracket. I rejected it.
An AOA sensor cleco'd in place with a .06 inlet hole.
This is the lowere sensor. Note the spacers I used with the clecos because the Delrin was so soft.
I dimpled the mounting holes, and then slightly countersunk the dimple to get the screw flush.
Front side view of the dimple.
I added 2 more threaded mounting holes to ge the outlet pipe pointed in a better direction! The holes will be filled with RTV.
Upper Sensor in place.
