Century Bike Ride

The largest cycling event in the City’s history took place on March 31, 2012, during the Chandler Century Ride. The all-ages event was in celebration of Chandler’s 100th birthday. There were three non-competitive bike rides (65 miles, 39 miles, 7.4 miles) that showcased the city and promote bicycling in the community.

President Obama Intel Visit Jan. 2012

President Barack Obama visited the Intel facility in Chandler, Arizona, on Jan. 25, 2012, the day after his state of the Union address to Congress. The President visited the new FAB42 site, one of the largest construction projects in the world at the time, to praise Intel and City leaders for working to keep jobs in America.
