Walters Cemetery Sign
Cemetery is to the left of the fire department.
Miss Emma Westbrook (1862-1913) was a daughter of William T. Westbrook (1833-1911), also buried in Walters Cemetery.
Edgar Westbrook (1866-1883/9) was a son of William T. Westbrook and brother to Emma & Marshall, all of whom are buried in Walters Cemetery.
Della Westbrook (b. 1860) was another daughter of William T. Westbrook. She is listed with the family in the 1870 census for Macon County, Georgia, but not in 1880.
Left side of military marker for T. W. Westbrook. His upright tombstone is fallen over and laying across it. Believe it or not, I tried to move it off. Of course, it didn't budge. :-) T. William is the father of Emma Westbrook (1862-1913), also buried in Walters Cemetery. In 1900, William was a planter in Macon County, Georgia. Two other children of William's, Edgar and Marshall, are also buried here. I saw no sign of Sarah, William's wife.
Right side of military marker for T. W. Westbrook (1833-1911).
This is an unknown Westbrook, d. 1882. I think the first name might be 'Marshall.'
Military stone for Marshall H. Leary. Here, the death year is 1879. He has another stone with a different death year.
This is another stone for Marshall. Here, it looks like the death year might be 1873.
J. J. A. Leary (1848-1889)
Jessee Walters 1770-1855
Sarah W. Walters 1774-1850
A granite ledger marker for Susan W. Sherrard (c. 1796 - c. 1839). It states the names of her parents, husband, four daughters, and their husbands.
Very difficult to read, but I came up with Mrs. Mary Wadsworth (1805-1855). She was the wife of Elbert Wadsworth.
Broken stone for Elbert Wadsworth. His birth information is unreadable. I can tell he "departed this life" in the year 1856, and his age was given was 56 years, 4 months, and 27 days.
The stone fallen over in the top row is the one for T. W. Westbrook.
