Overlooking Cairo's old city and the burial "houses."
Through the city's horrible pollution, a beautiful mosque.
"This is a papyrus plant. It is used to make paper. Buy lots from us, or I will whip you with this plant."
Bored...or tired?
De Nile is, in fact, a river in Egypt.
An ancient aqueduct (above the arches).
Note tombs in foreground.
Notice that it looks as if the facade of the pyramid has eroded over time (the smooth skin of the original construction is still evident near the peak). However, the stones of the smooth skin were removed by one of Egypt's kings to build a (beautiful) mosque in the city.
Inside (!) an ancient tomb.
Tomb area near the pyramids.
Note Sphinx in right foreground.
