The Brackenridge Field Laboratory moth collection has been curated and the list compiled by James Gillaspy.
The collection is based largely on his work at BFL (1992-97) supplemented by the earlier species of L.E. Gilbert, Tim Friedlander, Allen C. Hook, C. Riley Nelson, and others.
Determinations were made by E.C. Knudson, Houston, and other United States and Canadian systematists.
Numbers in this list, unless followed by an x, are those of Hodges (1983). If followed by an x, they are modified to represent partial identification (to genus, family or superfamily) or changes subsequent to Hodges, such as new species, new synonymy, and other revisionary changes.
