Turtle rescue August 31, 2011. A turtle (Black Marsh turtle)got lost in our garden. Here our housekeeper put it back in nature close to our wheelchair accessible pool villa Coconut Grove.

Size of this turtle / tortoise around 20 cm wide and 25cm long. Isn't he cute.
And a butterlfy feeding on jasmin flowers in our garden. More to see when you are here, but difficult to photograph.

Four clawed gecko, Gehyra mutilata. You'll see them everywhere in Thailand. Small and with a recognisable sound. During the day asleep and during night time hunting for bugs and musquito's.
Small lizard in our garden. Very shy. Zoom in and see the patern on his back. Beautiful.

Water monitor or Varanus salvator. Where? In Lumphini Park, Bangkok. Size? You tell me, I didn't check.
Iguana on our fence. In the Carribean a specialty on the menu. This one is to small. The iron is only 1cm. It just has a very long tail.
Beetle. Scutellaridae (Heteroptera). Colourfull and 1,5 cm long. Fotographed in our garden of Coconut Grove.

A toe or a frog. I don't know the difference. Underneath the plants in our garden. I looks like it has it nails polished.

Tigers at the Tiger temple. You can pet them if you are not scared.
Little tiger. Three months old. Monks breed these tigers to keep the species for the world.
Water buffalo's. Still being used in rice paddies.
Baby crab at Hua Hin beach. When you walk you see them run for their holes. When you stop and wait they appear again. After every flood they dig their hole again.
A beauty. Try to zoom in. You can almost see the facets of the eye.
A big snail, sliding accross the street.
Dove on nest in coconut tree at Villa Coconut Grove. Two chicks one day before leaving.
A young dove. Just flew out of the nest. Sat here all day in the sun. Second time this couple breeds in the coconut tree in our garden.
Bird in our Coconut tree. I think this is the Thai sparrow. Makes a lot of noise and most of the time live in bunches. This one looks not so healthy.
