Chopping pastures on June 8th. Winter hat required!
Cows in pasture
"Let them eat grass!"
Someday, Skipper will help herd the cows.
It's time to cut the hay! June 9, 2010 was our first hay day of 2010.
Cutting hay on one side of the road while graze on the other.
As storm clouds threaten, hay is baled, wrapped and stacked as quickly as possible
"Miss America" again. :)
Her work is done for the day.
Every cow's dream - sweet clover in the hay, with the timothy heads just out of the chute. As the old farmers would say, "There's lot of milk in that hay!"
Temps in the high 80s with a nice breeze made haylage quickly on June 18th.
A good crop.
