This is Florida in February. Do we look warm? No we don't! We were freezing our hot cross buns off waiting to get into Yoders.
Here we are inside Yoders. Warm and crowded. Randy seems to be telling Dave Wenger a fish story. He was saying "Honest it was this big... and that was just between the eyes"
We had almost 400 Airsteams at the rally this year. Down a little from last year but several folks cancelled because of the heavy snows all along the east coast of the US.
More of the Attendees
Frank Carson, the Rally Director and friends
Tables and Chairs committee did a nice job getting set up for the hot dog feast.
Opening ceremonies were chaired by the Rally Director Frank Carson. He was interrupted by that feared pirate Boxer Brief Silver, brother of Long John Silver. Merriment ensued... sort of.
Region 3 President Julian Clements got to show off his singing prowess with the pretty lady with the fiddle. Just a suggestion Julian, don't quit your day job.
Every morning it was Krispy Kremes and Koffee served up by the lovely volunteers. They were up at oh-dark-thirty every morning to set up and serve us. Well done all!
Betty Wenger and Lotty Joachimsthal pose with sticky fingers.
Since Airstream is no longer supporting WBCCI Rallies with on-site vendor sites, the slack has been taken up by Camping World. Next year they will have Airstream items as well.
Yeah, those are really nice hats! Sure would look smart replacing that old worn out baseball cap. Hmmmm?
This is Fantastic, two Fantastic Fans of Fantastic Fans. Isn't it Fantastic! I'm a Fantastic Fan Fan as well.
Not sure what Rescue Tape does but it has 700psi strength and that is good enough for me. By the way, those round yellow thingys on the left side of the table are great for storing electric leads and hoses.
A&W Designs This is where we get our embroidered shirts, jackets and hats. They do a great job.
Hensley Arrow had a vendors slot as well. They were ably represented by the distinguished gentleman with the moustache and goatee.
The Florida Unit sponsored a pizza luncheon for its members. At the far end of the table is a distinguished guy with a fine moustache and goatee. It is a rarity to see him in a picture since he is usually taking them. HI VIC!
First Place winner in the food barrel decoration... Tampa Bay
The backdrop for the stage was done by the Tampa Bay Unit depicting the theme of the rally
Here are a few of the Florida Unit members waiting for the entertainment to begin. A handsome looking bunch if I must say so myself.
Now... I am not sure where he got the red, and I use this term in the loosest possible sense, HAT, but CHARLES! It just isn't you... I hope.
These are members of the all girl song and dance team from Sarasota. They were in a word... fantasmicgorical!! We have never seen so much talent on one stage at one time.
This little 9 year old could belt out a song like Sophie Tucker.
We are all having a great time.
Ah, yes... one last look at Boxer Brief Silver. Truly a fearsome fellow who would as soon hang ye from the yard arm as look at ye.
