Flemington, where I live.
Entrance to Flemington Racecourse, a major horse racing venue. It is most notable for hosting the Melbourne Cup, which is Australia's richest horse race. The course has a crowd capacity of over 120,000 and contains three grandstands.
Another pic of the racecourse.
I live in the beige building right above the text "I live here". Looks like it might be a skyscraper but that's just buildings in the city, further away.
A bronze statue of famous Australian racehorse Phar Lap, outside one of the entrances to the racecoarse.
A lot of wires since I'm standing by the train tracks but I just wanted to illustrate how close I am to the city.
Me trying to be artistic. The composition of the photo turned out to be all wrong though.
Plumbing gone bad?! I wonder what Bo would say about this. :)
(2009-05-09) The 57 tram that goes between West Maribyrnong and the City via Flemington and North Melbourne. All trams look the same though.

Brekky in Williamstown and then a walk along the Gem Pier. The city can be spotted behind the sail boats...the view is not great though due to the fog.

We went for a drink at a local restaurant called Banque. A nice modern place with really cool light fittings!
A close up of the fitting. I love the contrast between the old and the modern.
