EGYPT (Cairo) - 2011

Family Holiday (minus Qasim) from 21/12/2011 to 2/01/2012. We stayed in the heart of Cairo and visited, Giza Pyramids, Dhashur Pyramids, Shakura Pyramids, Khan Khalili Bazaar, Citadel and Alexandria. Spent new Years eve at Tahrir square in a somewhat Party Atmosphere as opposed to a few weeks earlier when the Riots were ongoing as part of the Arab Spring.

MEXICO - 2010

This has definitely NOT been a relaxing holiday as I have been travelling daily upto 200 miles North-East-South and West of Mexico City - absolutely shattered but now experienced the real Mexico... mixed with the locals, got on dodgy buses and tubes etc.... visited PUEBLA, TLAXCALA, TAXCO, CUERNAVACA, TEPOZTLAN, TEOTIHUACAN (Pyramids) and XOCHIMILCO (Mexican Venice !!). My favorite was definately TEPOZTLAN - which is nestled beneath towering rock formations and absolutely breath taking

Aliyah Khan

Allah has blessed us with a baby girl who was born at 3am today (weight 6lb). We have decided to name her Aliyah which means "of highest social standing", "Exalted" or "Noble".

TURKEY (Kusadasi & Istanbul) - 2009

2 Weeks Family Holiday to Turkey. Flew into Bodrum on 1st August then transferred to Kusadasi. Stayed by the beautiful ladies beach for a week, then took a 5 day trip to Istanbul. Took 12 hrs on the coach and saw some beautiful scenery along the way(especially Busra).. Stayed at a nice Hotel very close to the Grand Bazaar and Blue Masjid (10mins walk away). Also visited Haga Sophia and Topkapi Palace (where they have items from the Prophet (pbuh))
