Chinese Hazardous Waste Incinerator - Wuxi
Photos from a tour of Chinese hazardous waste incinerators in 2006. The facility in Wuxi uses an indirect fired, batch loaded kiln with afterburner and wet scrubber, similar in design to the Changzhou facility. Although only two years old, according the staff, the equipment appeared to be badly in need of maintenance, with some of the vent piping patched with what appeared to be asbestos cloth. The site also included a landfill.
