At the trailhead...
We're both squinting -- hey, it's bright out here!
The mountains look yellow because of the lichen.
Joe's ready to go!
At the top of the trail, at Wind Cave.
Bees live all in this cave -- had I known beforehand, I might not have gone!
But they didn't seem aggressive -- they were mostly crawling in and out of the crevices.
Cactus blossoms didn't do too well this May due to the early extreme heat.
Aah, top of the trail. Now we have to turn around and go all the way back down!
With the clouds, the shadows on the mountains were beautiful. The iPhone didn't do it justice :)
