Statue of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton
See the addition to our Worship Center - newly commissioned statue of our patron saint, Elizabeth Ann Seton.
FROM FR. TOM:
It is very rewarding to see so many people at prayer in the St. Elizabeth Seton
Shrine area. You may have noticed the addition of the beautiful vines on the wall.
Like those in the windows, they remind us of our patron’s sorrows and joys. St.
Elizabeth Seton had a very painful life with the loss of her children and husband.
She also experienced a great deal of isolation when she converted to Catholicism.
Her sadness would later turn to joy as she continued to serve others. Nothing could
stop her from the love of God. Nothing could stop her from serving God and
sharing her life with others. On January 4, 2009, St. Elizabeth Seton’s Feast Day, we will
have the blessing of our statue and devotional area. Please stop in the shrine area
and seek her intercession for your needs.
