Japan Earthquake Relief pre-concert 4-14, 15, 16, 2011 - Jacksonville partnership
Japan Earthquake Relief --
Musicians from the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra and the UNF Music Department gave their support for Japan and the Japanese community. In an effort to raise funds for Japan, there was pre-concert live music in the Times-Union Center lobby. Thank you, Patrons, for a collective $2,600 in donations.
Special thanks go to The Artist Series, SMG Jacksonville, University of North Florida and the Jacksonville Symphony Players’ Association for partnering. Organizers were Jacksonville Symphony musicians Kayo Ishimaru, and Andrew Bruck; UNF music faculty members Simon Shiao, and Nick Curry; and Jacksonville musician Masako Fukata.
Funds collected will be sent to the Japan Society’s Earthquake Relief Fund.
